Prof. Dr. Peter Gentsch is an entrepreneur and an expert in the fields of digital management and big data. He is the founder of a number of companies, including BIG Social Media GmbH, which he sold in 2012 to the stock market-listed company USU AG and whose internationalization strategy he implements.

As a member of the supervisory board of DATAlovers AG and as a specialist advisor to the Digital Transformation Group, Peter has a number of shareholdings in digital companies as a Business Intelligence Group Holding partner.

Peter also holds the Chair of International Business Studies at Aalen University for Technology and Business with a focus on CRM, e-business, and digital intelligence. As the author of many nationally and internationally renowned publications, he is in high demand as a guest speaker and keynote presenter on the topics of digital business transformation and innovation management.

In 2010, Peter was awarded, together with Lufthansa, the German Market Research Society’s Innovation Prize. In conjunction with Deutsche Post/DHL, he won the 2011 International Digital Communication Award and in 2014 the German Prize for Online Communication.

In addition, Peter is the founder and head of the exclusive Social Media Excellence Circle, whose members include companies such as Audi, Bosch, Daimler, Deutsche Post, Lufthansa, Microsoft, Telekom, the Otto Group, and O2.
