Peter Komba

Peter Umar Komba (born 20 July 2002), known professionally as Peter Komba and Peter A.A. Komba, is a Sierra Leonean actor, content creator and musician. He first became known through videos posted on TikTok before moving into acting and appearing in Sierra Leonean and Nigerian film productions.

Komba gained wider attention through his participation in the TikTok "Duduke Challenge". His growing online following later led to work with Nigerian content creators and filmmakers.[1][3] He appeared with Nigerian comedian Broda Shaggi in the 2022 comedy skit Sierra Leone Visitor.

He later began appearing in Nollywood films, including Lovers & Foes, The Englishman, Sandwiched and Throne and Thorns.

Early life

Peter Umar Komba was born on 20 July 2002 in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

He has spoken publicly about growing up with five siblings, including his twin brother, Paul. Komba said that his family supported his interest in entertainment and that his sister introduced him to TikTok.

Komba later attended Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone.

Social media career

Komba began using TikTok in 2020. He became widely known after taking part in the "Duduke Challenge", based on Nigerian singer Simi's song "Duduke". His dance video attracted a large audience and helped build his following on the platform.

By April 2022, The Sun Nigeria reported that Komba had more than 2.4 million TikTok followers and described him as one of Sierra Leone's most-followed creators on the platform.

His social media work included dance videos, comedy skits and short acting performances. He later worked with Nigerian comedian Samuel Perry, known professionally as Broda Shaggi, in the comedy skit Sierra Leone Visitor. The skit also featured Sierra Leonean television personality Michelle Marina Jaward.

Acting career

Komba's work on social media led to opportunities in film.

He appeared in Sierra Leonean productions including April 27 and The Scuffle before becoming involved in Nigerian film productions.

In July 2024, Komba appeared in the Nigerian film Lovers & Foes. The film also featured Nigerian actors including Regina Daniels and was released through Uchenna Mbunabo TV.

In August 2024, he appeared in The Englishman. Africa Press reported that it was among his early roles in the Nigerian film industry.

He later appeared in My Heart My Lesson, which was reported in September 2024 as his third Nollywood film following his debut in Lovers & Foes.

Other films in which he has appeared include Sandwiched, A Hold on Me, Hearts at Play, Campus Chronicles, Bond and Equity, Love Unbroken, The Englishman, For Whom I Was Made, Broken Shelter and Throne and Thorns.

In 2026, Komba appeared alongside Clinton Joshua and Pamela Okoye in Throne and Thorns, a Nigerian film produced for Uchenna Mbunabo TV.

Music career

Komba has also recorded music under the name P-Kay.

He released the single Scatter, produced by Nigerian producer Masterkraft. Reports by ThisDay, The Guardian Nigeria and Vanguard said the song marked the beginning of his professional music work.

Komba has described Afrobeats and Amapiano as some of the styles that influence his music.

Public appearances

In 2025, Komba was announced as a speaker at the Sierra Leone Innovates Digital Government Summit at the Freetown International Conference Centre.

His planned presentation was titled More Than Likes: What It Takes to Succeed as a Digital Creator and focused on his experience working in digital content.
