Peter Lines is an accomplished chef, salesman, and restaurant operator with the vision and tenacity to mold his education and career trajectory in pursuit of his belief that people deserve to know the truth about what they eat. That’s why we need truth and transparency in food.

A trip to Italy when he was 14 years old opened his eyes to the real “farm to table” approach to food that was about to take the food world by storm.

People today want food that nourishes not poisons them, demanding that they are informed about what they eat. Peter spent his career on both sides, in the kitchen and at the table, watching the truth in food movement grow exponentially. He has now dedicated the rest of his career to establishing truth and transparency in the food industry.

Many unique experiences have molded Peter's food industry education; attended culinary and restaurant design school for a year in Florence, Italy and the French Culinary Institute in New York City, co-wrote menus for a Top 3 wine cellar in US, built a true farm-to-table restaurant from the ground up, ran his own restaurant consulting and catering business, and sold high-end seafood to acclaimed restaurants in Manhattan. Peter’s education in all aspects of the food world has been a purpose-driven devotion to a belief that he can make a real impact on people by showing them the truth in what they eat.

Peter has first hand experience witnessing the gaps, shortcuts, untruthfulness, and profiteering behavior that continues to plague the food industry. This behavior has had a negative effect on consumers and the food industry, evidenced by restaurant closings at an accelerated pace. It doesn’t have to be this way.

Peter’s deep desire is to create a paradigm shift in the food industry, one that is win/win for both the consumer and food industry alike. He believes this is possible using the power of technology to deliver transparency in food.
