Peter Quist

Peter Quist studied economics at the University of Georgia in Athens before graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He also belonged to Delta Sigma Rho-Tau Kappa Alpha, a forensics honor society. In addition, Quist participated on the debate team and attended the National Debate Tournament. For his hard work and sound arguments, Peter Quist won over 30 individual and group awards at various debate tournaments. Quist continued his studies at the University of Georgia, enrolling in the School of Law. While studying there, he partook in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and also garnered accolades for writing the best international brief. After earning his Juris Doctor, Peter Quist began practicing employment and labor law, and eventually became a partner in two firms, where he handled cases involving the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. Through his work, Quist has represented clients throughout the United States, as well as those in Canada, Mexico, the Republic of Honduras, Dominican Republic, Guam and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Peter Quist has also held senior human resources positions at several companies, including Lake Champlain Transportation Company, Sugarbush Resort Holdings, Inc., and Polhemus. Quist holds certification as both a Senior Professional in Human Resources and a Global Professional in Human Resources, equipping him with the highest credentials in the industry. Currently, Peter Quist acts as Managing Principal for Preferred Consulting Group, LLC, in Boise, Idaho. He handles labor disputes, representing management in National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) proceedings, representation hearings, and unfair labor practice charge proceedings. Additionally, Quist performs vulnerability assessments and audits, and he claims a 97 percent success rate in NLRB elections. Peter Quist maintains membership in the Society for Human Resource Management and American Bar Association. He also contributes his time and resources to various nonprofit organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States.
