Peter Sbaraglia graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology in 1986. Peter then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1990 from the same university.
From 1993 to 1995, Peter established and ran a summer camp for children and adults living in northern Ontario. He also helped with a mobile dental health bus that visited remote native communities. Additionally, he visited nursing and retirement homes to offer oral cancer screenings and dental repairs.
In 1995, Dr. Peter Sbaraglia continued his educational training and returned to his alma mater, the University of Toronto. In 1997, Peter was chosen to become a Fellow of The American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Peter successfully completed a dental anesthesia residency at the University of Toronto in 1997. Concurrent with his graduate studies, Peter tutored local graduates in local anesthesia and emergency office procedures.
From 1997 to 1998, Peter took a position to teach part-time in the Anesthesia Department at the University of Toronto. At the University, Peter earned the title of Outstanding Teacher two years in a row.
