Ashley Petersen

My name is Ashley Petersen. I live with my husband and our three boys ages 11,9, and 4 in Cashmere, WA. I enjoy doing anything outdoors with my family.

I received my Early Childhood Education degree from Wentachee Valley College in 2012. Spring quarter of 2015 I will graduate from Eastern Washington University with my Bachelors in Children Studies with a minor in sociology.

I have worked in several childcare centers with ages birth-5. I currently wok for the Wenatchee School District as a lead preschool teacher for the families finishing there high school diploma and for college families.

My passion is children and I truly enjoy working with children. I enjoy the challenge and love the rewards.

I feel that children learn by the experiences that children are provided. Children learn hands on and my classroom is very hands-on and children are allowed to work at their individual skill level. I also feel very strongly about the importance of forming relationships with each child in my classroom as well as with their families, because families are there child's first and most influential teacher.
