Petersen Painting
The founder of Petersen Painting, Joel Petersen began his career as a teenager working for Jesperson Painting in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Rising to a foreman’s position faster than anyone in company history, Joel Petersen was responsible for assuring the quality of the work executed by his spray team on its residential and commercial jobs. Launching Petersen Painting in 1996, Joel Petersen knew he was ready to run his own business. Responsible for the negotiation of jobs and contracts and the development of new procedures, Joel Petersen oversees the management of the painting crews and directs office personnel. Now in business for nearly 15 years, Petersen Painting has grown to be one of Utah’s premier commercial and residential painting companies. Working with five of the top builders in Utah, Petersen Painting received the Subcontractor of the Quarter award from Kaufman and Broad (now KB Homes) in Petersen Painting’s first year of business. Working with Utah’s largest builder of residential homes, Ivory Homes named Petersen Painting its Subcontractor of the Year in 2005. Establishing a reputation for high-quality workmanship and great customer service, Petersen Painting shows up on time, completes projects on schedule, and works within the customer’s budget. In addition to traditional interior and exterior painting, Petersen Painting offers faux finishing and glazing services, custom stain and lacquer work, and epoxy finishes for areas that need a durable coating to survive wear and tear and the elements. Joel Petersen is a local committee chairperson for the Boy Scouts of America and supported the Hurricane Katrina rebuilding efforts through his local church. When not busy with Petersen Painting, Joel Petersen enjoys winter snowmobiling and exploring the ghost towns of the American West.
