Peter Subtelny

Accomplished engineering professional Peter Subtelny has worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer for INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA since 2011. With international experience in up- and downstream petroleum assignments, Peter Subtelny leverages nearly 15 years of work as a leader, project manager, and support provider.

Peter Subtelny attended the University of Houston, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering magna cum laude. While studying for his degree, he worked on offshore production projects as a Mechanical and Piping Engineer Intern with Halliburton, a company based in Houston. Shortly after graduation, he began his career as a Maritime Engineer, a role that took him all over the world including Denmark, Angola, and Japan. In this position, he developed welding process specifications in addition to providing international quality control for fabrication.

Peter Subtelny has earned corporate awards for his engineering work and for the receipt of a patent. He has published two research papers, “Method of Calculating the Discharge Coefficients Applied to the Design of Free Discharge Manifolds,” and “Weld Joint Tolerances Applied to the Fabrication of LNG Header Pipe.” He is also the author of Introduction to Pipe Support Design, a textbook published by the American Literary Press.

When he is neither working nor writing, Peter Subtelny enjoys playing rugby and racing motorcycles. He resides in League City, Texas.
