Peter Tonka

Early Career Researcher, Writer, and Designer in Ghana

Peter Tonka is a marketer and health entrepreneur with a strong background in health systems research, digital health, and entrepreneurship. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Health Entrepreneurship at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, in partnership with the Translational Research Program at the University of Toronto. His research focuses on the adoption of telemedicine, the role of psychological determinants in healthcare decision-making, and digital health innovations in Africa.

Peter is the founder of Tonitel Health Network, a telehealth platform designed to enhance healthcare accessibility and improve patient outcomes. His work extends to public health advocacy, youth empowerment, and financial literacy initiatives, aiming to bridge gaps in healthcare access across underserved communities.

With a background in marketing and consumer behavior research, Peter has developed expertise in healthcare technology adoption, community health initiatives, and primary healthcare strengthening. His academic and professional experience has equipped him with the skills to drive research, policy development, and practical solutions in Africa’s evolving healthcare landscape.
