In 1971, Peter Woolf graduated from the University of Leeds and immediately began working as a stock broker and financial analyst for R. Layton & Company. He left London for Broward County, Florida, in 1976 and proceeded to earn his Master in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, the following year. His focus and expertise in accounting assisted in securing him a position with Price Waterhouse, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, in 1977. Peter Woolf remained with the accounting giant for nearly 30 years and specialized in tax issues for multi-national corporations, before retiring from the firm holding the title of partner.

Woolf spent two years as a consultant to Junior Achievement, a non-profit enterprise that educates youths in business practices and strategies. In 2008, Woolf joined Interstate Asphalt Corporation in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as Chief Financial Officer. Located in Broward County, Florida, the company also has stakes in asphalt terminals in Illinois and Michigan. These facilities are located on rail, road, and water corridors, and store and distribute state-certified asphalt for road projects.

In his free time, Woolf volunteers his skills in a number of charitable capacities. He is the Treasurer of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Broward County and the Junior Achievement of South Florida. From 1994 to 2005, he was the Treasurer of the British American Business Council, a parent organization for approximately 2,500 companies organized and 22 chapters across the United States, Canada and the UK. Woolf was recognized for his volunteer service by receiving the J.C. Penney Golden Rule Award.

One of Peter Woolf's proudest moments came in 1996 when he had the honor of carrying the Olympic torch during its relay through South Florida. He is the father of two sons, Andrew, an attorney, and Jonathan, an entrepreneur.
