I have to admit, I did not see Star Wars when it premiered in 1977. In fact, I did not get to see what was possibly the most hyped movie of my generation until Return of the Jedi had released.

So while my friends were gushing over the movies, and collecting the toys, I was oblivious to it all. But when I finally saved up enough money to rent the movies in the lead up to RotJ in 1983, I was stoked. I had the zeal of a thousand proselytes. Star Wars had become my religion (my faith remained in Christ), and I was its devout devotee.

Loved Episodes II, IV, V and VI. Not so much I and III. Looking forward to VII.
