Petros Giataganas
I am from Lamia, Central Greece.
I am a robotics specialist doing a Master of Research degree in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention at Imperial College of London, having professional experience in various technical positions. I am interested in multidisciplinary innovative projects towards medical robotics applications that provide clear patient benefits. During my professional experiences I developed high organizational and marketing skills combining high degree of technical knowledge.
My main research interests are related with the development of innovative control strategies for surgical robots for minimally invasive surgery (MIS) aimed at improving their safety and ergonomics. By specifically addressing the interaction between clinician, patient and robot in the cluttered and dynamic environment of the operative room, it is possible to develop a versatile surgical robotic system able adapt to multiple surgical scenarios.
