I hold a master’s degree in law from University of Lapland, Finland. In addition to my legal degree, I have studied administrative sciences at University of Joensuu for two years. My law school coursework emphasized intellectual property law (especially copyright law and software law), contract law and administrative law, knowledge which I utilized while completing my master’s thesis. In addition, I have gained practical experience in corporate and tax law.

I have gained significant experience in both written and oral advocacy, and in legal research. As a student at the University of Lapland, I wrote my Bachelor´s thesis on the interpretation of software licensing agreements, focusing on various open source and Creative commons licensing agreements. My master’s thesis specifically focused on software companies’ business- and revenue models, and practical intellectual property law and competition law issues.

I have always had keen interest in intellectual property and contract law. Recently, this interest led me to participate in a law conference arranged by Federation of Computer Law Associations. Furthermore, in 2012, I participated in a summer law school on internet law arranged by ELSA Lithuania, which gave me a first-hand insight into intellectual property law. Also, during my academic studies, I participated in the ELSA Finland´s contract law Moot Court Competition, further refining my research, oral advocacy skills and team player qualities.
