Hi there, my name is Peyton Torrey, and I have been an artist since the very beginning. From the moment I could grasp a Crayola crayon, I began transforming the blank walls of my childhood bedroom, using them as my own personal canvases. Once I ran out of space, I began using my twin sister’s face as a canvas as well…sorry Lindsay. Anyways, it is easy to say that my enthusiasm for art was clear from day one.
It was during the boring, stagnant days of the COVID-19 pandemic that my love for painting truly flourished. I invested in real canvases this time, which allowed me to build my painting collection of Disney Pixar characters (my Olaf painting was a fan favorite in the Torrey household). When I wasn't busy building blanket fortresses or baking cookies, I could be found with a brush in hand.
Throughout high school, my passion for art grew stronger. My schedules were overtaken by art classes, which ultimately led to the meaningful relationships I now have with my art teachers. Although this meant having no space in my schedule for study halls, I wouldn't change a thing.
Well, that is my story about my love for art, which leads me to today. Unfortunately, I have no time in my schedule to explore further into my talent for art. While this may sound like a lazy cop-out, you'll believe me once you see my course work for this semester…being a Terry major is not for the weak.
