I've had many hobies and studies over the last half centuary but cooking, playing music, archery and DIY remain the abiding loves of my life.

I currently live in rural West Waterford in Ireland at the foot of the Knockmealdown Mountainsbut wish I spent more time sailing - another love of mine.

I walk my dogs locally and am involved in a group opening more nature walks in the area; looped and linear - the latter being a pilgrim's highway from 4th century of about 60miles/94kms long. It runs between Ardmore (Ireland's oldest Christian settlement 416AD) and - passing very close to our house and on to Cashel where we are told St Declan met with St Patrick. This 'Way' has become part of my Postgrad studies as well as the physical part of actually clearing it.
