PATRICIA BILLIEU
Grass Valley, CA
Although I was born in Springfield, IL, I consider myself a native Californian. I was raised, went to school, and started my family in Los Angeles, CA.
My first job opportunity turned into the beginning of a 7 year career in the secretarial/administrative field. I put my career on hold to focus on the most important job I would ever have in my lifetime, that of being a mother.
I relocated to Nevada County in 1995, as I felt it would be a more relaxed environment to raise my children. As a single mother who needed a job, I began working in retail. Through the years, I have maintained my skills and have worked as an Independent Contractor.
In 2002, my children now adults, I had an opportunity to travel, and that's what I did. I drove cross country, and I fell in love with the south. After two years, I was homesick. At that time I had one granddaughter , and I didn't want to be 2,400 miles away. Needless to say, I returned to California.
I am blessed with four beautiful grandchildren now, and have a close, loving relationship with each of them.
As an independent contractor I was working, as needed, as an administrative assistant, and was asked to return to the retail position I had worked at for seven years. I moved to Missouri in 2007 to care for an elderly relative.
