Patrick Frey

Hello and welcome!

My name is Patrick Frey, and I am a Senior Product Manager and Product Owner at ETAS GmbH (a 100 % subsidiary of Robert Bosch GmbH). I am responsible for the ETAS EHANDBOOK solution, an innovative software solution for ECU software documentation, which I have initiated in 2011.

I strongly believe in agile principles as key success factor to software projects. I have 6+ years of experience in Scrum in an international setup with multiple teams. Throughout that time, I played the role of the ScrumMaster, but since several years, I am (Chief) Product Owner for the solution.

I have written a PhD thesis on the timing behavior automotive embedded software development. During my studies, I have become an expert in the AUTOSAR standard.

What other say about me is that I am an empathetic leader with a clear long-term product vision which I execute upon. Also, I am a supporter of Design Thinking and User Experience.

I am interested in Business Model Generation, Value Proposition Design, User Centered Design and Lean Startup. I write software in Ruby on Rails (http://rubyonrails.org/, e.g. https://eventhostr.com/) and Meteor(https://www.meteor.com/, e.g. https://juxtaposeit.herokuapp.com/).
