You might say that Peter Giesin was born to teach. You might even say that he was the product of a secret society of teachers’ hell bent on revolutionizing how students learn. However, neither of these statements would be completely true.

The truth is that it wasn't until one snowy day while working out of his hotel room in Minneapolis that Peter realized his calling. Before this day Peter spent countless hours traveling the world helping companies understand the world of technology. On this path, he learned a great deal about teaching, but he learned even more about the power of stepping outside of ones’ comfort zone and inspiring others to do the same.

Peter soon took a three-year sabbatical from his technology career to develop and fine-tune his coaching and teaching philosophy and knowledge. He become a leader in a rigorous, one of a kind teaching program at Mercy College. While working alongside other renowned educators Peter completed his first year as an 8th grade mathematics teacher, while simultaneously completing his Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. In a math-phobic society it is where Peter coined the idea depicted below.

Peter then turned his attention to the game of soccer where he coaches a U10-U12 Girls travel team in his local community, and serves as the Club's travel head coach. To tie the two worlds together Peter is pursuing a second Masters in Soccer Coaching from Ohio University. He hopes this while change him forever…turn him into the teacher he was born to be. He now spends his free time teaching children, and adults, to live outside their comfort zone through sports. Most importantly he continues to walk the talk, expanding his own comfort zone, whether at work or at play.

Peter has been blessed with a life of story-worthy adventures: bicycling the Tour of California course only hours before the pros, repelling of the top of Lady Liberty and an active member of a search and rescue team in central New Jersey of all places. Peter prefers real football to American football, real books to eBooks and real home cooked meals to just about anything.
