I have been playing sports for my entire life. Since I was 3 years old until my final game of senior year, I was constantly busy with either practices, games, or tournaments. My parents strongly encouraged me to play sports and constantly be involved in some type of organization. They believed that through playing sports, I would learn many valuable lessons.

Throughout my childhood, I participated in a wide variety of sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, football, and lacrosse. My sports career officially started when I was 3 years old and I joined my first T ball team. I played baseball every fall and spring from the time I was 3 years old until 4th grade, while also playing basketball during the winter. After all of those years, I decided it was time to try some other sports. I played 1 year of soccer and 1 year of football, but did not have the passion to pursue either of these sports. Then, one of my best friends introduced me to the sport of lacrosse.

I had never heard of lacrosse before, but it did not take long for me to grow a passion for the game. My first season of lacrosse was during the spring of my 5th grade year, and I played until the end of my senior year. Throughout the years, I played on many different teams, met some lifelong friends, and made some great memories.

I feel that playing sports truly did teach me valuable lessons that I can use throughout life such as hard work, discipline, and teamwork. I believe that this helped shape me into the person that I have become.
