John Anderson
Lowell, IN
John was born ten minutes before his twin brother, Geno. One of the six children of Dick and Dorothy Anderson, he was greatly influenced by the faith and interests of both of his parents. Dorothy loves listening to the radio. As a gifted engineer, Dick enjoyed working with numbers.
There were two directions that John considered in college: the pastorate and engineering. Those directions changed as he started tutoring his chemistry classmates. This love for teaching led him to 18 years of employment at Lowell High School. His major areas of focus were algebra, calculus, and physics. It was in this role that he embraced the Saxon pedagogy.
This devotion opened the door to become a math consultant for Saxon. He relished the role for about nine years before joining the HMH Sales Enablement team.
John and Wendy were married in 1988. Lauren, Kristen, and Zane were added to the family in rather quick succession beginning in 1990. Trinity was an added blessing to the family through foster care and adoption..
