Phenolic Board External Wall Insulation

Phenolic is more commonly used as a Binder and Insulator beneath exterior facades.

Often phenol is combined with formaldehydeand used as an agent to bind together composite woods, including chipboard and plywood.

Penolic board is considered extremely fire resistant as it produces very little smoke if it catches on fire, and, at high grades, can resist temperatures up to 370°F (185°C).

In construction, phenolic foam made from these compounds is often used as insulation, usually in the form of rigid sheets, known as phenolic board external wall insulation.

This type of external wall insulation is often selected for its ease of installation, affordability, and ability to produce an energy efficient state.
