I focus on user experience research and design, particularly in the fields of:
-accessibility (WCAG 2.0 and Section 508)
-information architecture
-usability testing
-user interface design and review
I am a senior undergraduate student at Michigan State University pursuing a double major in Professional Writing (with a concentration in Digital & Technical Writing) and English (with a concentration in Creative Writing). I am a user experience researcher/consultant/designer who focuses on designing accessible user experiences.
My research interests lie in designing accessible information technology for individuals who have cognitive, learning, and developmental disabilities and/or mental illnesses. I want to make the web and resources found upon the web accessible to as many people as possible.
I love to write, edit, read, research, design, and interact with people. I have a lot of fun collaborating with others to create awesome experiences, and I enjoy laughing and meeting new and interesting people.
I enjoy learning, especially at my fantastic places of work and my wonderful school.
In my free time, I have a love for fantasy novels, and I enjoy spending time doing a slew of random things. Generally, I like to laugh, be positive, and empathize/understand others. I have fun exploring new spaces, both digital and physical.
