Brief Profile:

Dr. Philemon Babylon was born in Kaduna State of Nigeria. He is greatly inspired by his late Dad who he named "My Hero" and late Dr Myles Munroe. Babylon holds a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, a Master's degree in Entomology & Parasitology (specialized in Public Health Parasitology), an MSc Public Health, an MPH in Epidemiology, PhD in Public Health Parasitology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, online MA and BA in Theology, and MSc Environmental Epidemiology (In view)

Commencing his academic career at Taraba State University on January 3rd, 2018, Babylon has held various positions, including Pioneer Faculty Patron of the student union (2019 to 2021), Faculty Examination officer (2019 to 2023), SBC Rep for the Faculty of Health Science (current), Chairman of the Research Ethics Committee for the Faculty of Health Science (current), PG Coordinator (current), Internship Coordinator (current), etc.

Babylon career journey is marked by active engagement and commitment to various esteemed professional body, each contributing significantly to his expertise and network. He is a member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), the Association for Public Health Teaching, Research and Service (APHTReS), Parasitology and Public Health Society of Nigeria (PPSN), a Licence Environmental Health Consultant, a Licence Teacher etc.

Babylon has actively contributed to Parasitology and Public Health research/interventions. He boasts forty-eight (48) research publications, both authored and co-authored with colleagues. He is currently a team member of the Adamawa State malaria vector surveillance research team (2019 to Date) and a Member of Taraba State Health Research Ethics Committee (2022 to Date). Also he actively participates in initiatives such as Make our Hospital Work (WOHW), advocating for improved healthcare infrastructure and services (2020 to Date), among others.

Apart from his academic pursuits, Babylon is deeply involved in religious and community services. He served as a teacher in a Children's Ministry for ten years and had organized free extra moral classes to secondary school students for over five (5) years in his local community where he mobilized himself and other volunteer teachers in the teaching process, these showcased his commitment to both education and community welfare.
