Stories are the fundamental building blocks of our universe. We live in and through them as they give form to our most essential experiences.

I founded Socionarrative Solutions to help clients recognize the primacy of narrative in their professional endeavors. Drawing on research from narrative theory, linguistics, and psychoanalysis, I work with clients to develop strategies for using storytelling to reach their goals.

My background lies in narratology and psychoanalysis. I received my Ph.D. and Master's degree from the University of Pennsylvania. My B.A. is from the University of Michigan. I've served on the faculty of universities in the United States and France. I currently hold a faculty position at the Defense Language Institute.
