Philipine Kidulah
Director, Public Speaker, and Small Business Owner in West Pokot County, Kenya
I’m a Kenyan social entrepreneur who works for women empowerment, climate justice and sustainability. In 2010, I founded an organization called Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika that works to empower vulnerable women and their households for resilience to the impacts of climate change in West Pokot Kenya, where I come from. I love what I do so much and feel very fulfilled whenever I learn of the positive transformation that our work is having in the lives of the people and communities that we serve. You are welcome to visit the website of Jitokeze Wamama Wafrika (https://jitokezewafrika.org) in order to learn more and support the work that I do with women and communities adversely impacted by climate change in Kenya.
I run a blog (https://philipinekidulah.com)where I share my own story and tips that have helped me to grow in my own self empowerment, transformation and pursuit of a sustainable life as an african woman and a leader who is passionate to empower others in their own journey of transformation and sustainability.
I am an aunt to 6 wonderful kids born to my sisters and many others born to my friends.
Activities I enjoy doing include reading nonfiction, listening to music, writing, travelling, photographing nature and landscapes, swimming, walking at sunrise, hiking in forests and mountains and watching movies and series and cooking.
I am a very nerdy person who feels easily overwhelmed by nonstop emails, social media, people who talk as if they are yelling at me, as well as by piled up dishes and laundry yikes!!!
