Philip Michael

A pharmacist based in Charleston, West Virginia, Philip E. Michael previously owned and operated Alum Creek Pharmacy, where he ran day-to-day operations like filling patient prescriptions. He is now the owner of Mt. Morris Pharmacy. As a pharmacist, Philip Michael is also working with other professionals to help grow Independent pharmacies in and around West Virginia.

To succeed at Mt. Morris, Mr. Michael draws on the industry experience he has accumulated over more than 25 years. He worked at Aracoma Drug Company, the busiest pharmacy in Chapmanville, WV, where he filled patient prescriptions and brought new ideas to remodel the pharmacy, such as starting a Public Employees Insurance Agency face-to-face program to help patients get free copayments for medicines. Before Aracoma, he worked at Rite Aid Corporation, starting out as a pharmacy intern before moving on to manager, then district manager controlling inventory valued at over $30 million for more than 30 pharmacies. He also oversaw the hiring and firing of personnel.

Philip Michael earned his BS in pharmacy from Long Island University’s Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy. In his free time, he enjoys basketball and swimming.
