Hi I am Philippa and along with my Father, Alan Ashbee, I own Bottle Alley Glass, a company that recycles unwanted and rejected glass bottles in to gorgeous new glass products.

Specialising in Recycled Glass splashbacks, worktops and tiles, Bottle Alley Glass is the only company of it's kind in the UK as we use only glass, no resin or bonding agents. Our glass is fused in a large kiln, turning smashed bottles into sheets of fused and decorative glass.

Bottle Alley Glass is a small artisan business with just my Dad and I manufacturing, marketing, selling and in some instances fabricating this beautiful and unique product.

I love working with my family and having my own business and I especially love the 'Kiln Openning' days when we get to see what we (and the elements) have created! Feel free to come down to our workshop if you too would like to see the kilns openning and the new glass pieces coming out, but I warn you, it can be a nerve wracking and extremely exciting time!

I have worked on some really interesting projects since buying Bottle Alley in March, including some lighting panels for Wetherspoon's bar in Bury St Edmonds and at the moment we are making 10 sheets of our Arctic 05 (recycled lemonade bottles) for the Birmingham Think Tank museum. They are going to be fabricated into 2 display tables for one of their interactive exhibits.
