Philippa Cross

*Note to readers: Um. I wasn't sure what to write so I had a quick look at some other blog authors' profiles. It seems there's a formula for these things. Who knew?
After completing her degree and post graduate diploma, Philippa spent ten years in the demanding, cut-throat fast-paced professional working world of Advertising, PR and online publishing in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Then, she immigrated to rural Australia.
Before the move, Philippa had a job and a life outside her children and husband. She had regular manicures, and highlighted her hair. She was surrounded by a loving family and friends, and had a full-time live in housekeeper and nanny for her two boys.
After her move, she replaced her manicured fingernails with housework hands, drank more wine and learnt to iron - a task so boring it required a support group. Thus, a weekly ironing date with other, like-minded women, aptly named, wine and ines was booked. Philippa got to spend far more time with her children than she ever imagined. They turned out to be excellent company.
Philippa is an avid reader, and volunteers at her sons' school on Wednesdays. She has recently started doing Pilates, and sometimes walks around the block. Philippa is fond of animals. More so than people in fact. Her dog of choice is a bulldog. It is her goal to publish a novel so that she can afford a tummy tuck and go to her 20 year high school reunion with something to talk about.
To negate the feeling of her brain turning to mush, she started this blog a few months after getting to Australia.
