Philippa Richmond-Smith

New York, New York, United States

Philippa Richmond-Smith was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. Born to Roger, an entrepreneur, and Kate Richmond-Smith.

Her favourite things growing up were music, theatre and ballet before music took a front seat in her teenage years. Her ninth grade was spent in the Victorian High Country, hiking, running, skiing while she attended the outward bound year at Timbertop. She spent four years in a 5 piece Jazz band in high school playing flute and singing and toured Europe with her High School choir at Geelong Grammar School.

After graduating high school she spent a year abroad and studied International Social and Business Etiquette at L’Institut Villa Pierrefeu, the only remaining Swiss finishing school of its type. There she spent time riding horses, playing tennis, painting and acquainting herself with the Swiss nightlife. She spent some time in Paris after this, continuing her studies in French.

It was during this year that Philippa danced on stage with Iggy Pop. (only to be escorted off later…)

It was soon after this she rekindled her love for theatre and underwent a two short courses at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and later with Tom Todoroff.

She speaks fluently in French and English and plays a little flute and piano.

She loves Food and Wine, Travelling, riding horses, art Shakespeare.

She now resides in New York City.
