Born in Belgium but always attracted by the Californian lifestyle, I started skateboarding in 1987, which quickly led to surfing and eventually snowboarding in the early 1990’s. After moving to the French Alps to pursue my dream, I had a good run as a professional snowboarder for almost ten years, traveling the world and riding the steep Alaskan terrain for 6 years in a row, entering the « King Of The Hill » World Extreme Championships in Valdez, Alaska as well as other freeride and extreme competitions.
After staying down in the French surf mecca « Hossegor » in the summer of 2002 with my soon to be wife, I decided it was time to move on and start a « real job ».
Fueled by over ten years of adrenalin, risk taking and strong DIY ethics, I started a career as European Marketing Director for the world’s leading skateboards and apparel company at the time, ELEMENT and stayed with them for about 9 years until surf apparel giant VOLCOM gave me a call and I joined them for 5 years as European Marketing Director.
Today I live in Seignosse, France with my lovely wife, my kids and my dog. I still surf, snowboard and skate whenever I can, I run, I cycle, ride old cars and motorcycles in search for the next thrill and absolutely love every minute of it !
