Philippe Treuille

In Sierre, Switzerland, Philippe Treuille recently worked as a resident composer at the Villa Ruffieux of the Chateau Mercier Foundation. At this internationally renowned organization, in the historical footsteps of composers such as Mozart, Faure, Verdi, Durufle, and his former Juilliard professor Christopher Rouse, Treuille primarily focused on his Requiem, a 12-movement orchestral and choral piece based on Latin text. In 2009, Philippe Treuille also composed music while completing supplementary education at Les Ecoles D'Art Americaines de Fontainebleau, an international music and architecture program in France. In 2001, Treuille participated in the Boston University Tanglewood Institute, a summer music festival for classical performers and composers in Lennox, Massachusetts.

Philippe Treuille was a student in the Pre-College Division at the Juilliard School from 2001-2002, where he was part of the percussion ensemble. He followed his Pre-College Division experience with attendance at the Juilliard School Conservatory for one year. Treuille also studied at additional prestigious higher education institutions such as Northwestern University, where he earned a BM in Composition and a BA in History in 2008, Trinity School, where he participated in a jazz percussion ensemble, School of Visual Arts, where he gained experience in Web design, graphic design, Flash animation, and HTML coding, and Parsons New School for Design in New York, where he obtained a Certificate in Fine Arts. In addition, Treuille was part of the Art Students League of New York, NY, where he worked in the painting studio of Charles Hinman from 2008-2009.

Philippe Treuille has written the musical score for several professional programs: the Silvio Liu fashion show in New York, NY, the Guided Imageries CD series with New York-based psychologist Tian Dayton, a Derrick Adams art installation (Go Stand Next to the Mountain), and for the French American Foundation Gala film in 2010 and 2011.
