Philip Young

A renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Philip Young owns Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery, PLLC, in Bellevue, Washington. Through his practice, Dr. Young offers a full range of cosmetic procedures and leading-edge techniques. At Aesthetic Facial Plastic Surgery, he also applies his own theory of facial beauty, which has garnered international acclaim. Called Circles of Prominence, the theory takes into account scientific studies that examined eye movements when an individual studied a new face. The studies demonstrated that people first focus on the eyes, nose, and mouth, and while they begin to look at other facial features, they continually return to these three elements. As Dr. Philip Young noted, individuals tended to look frequently at the iris. He subsequently began devising a mathematical relationship between the irises and other natural circles on the face, such as the nasal tip, the nasal dorsum, and the space between the upper lip and the bottom of the nose. When working with patients, Dr. Young takes into account each individual’s natural beauty and the standards dictated by his Circles of Prominence theory. Outside of his practice, Dr. Philip Young demonstrates a strong commitment to philanthropy and service. He has dedicated a significant amount of time to the humanitarian program Face to Face, which connects medical experts to populations in need around the world. Dr. Young has traveled to multiple destinations around the world to provide free services to people who struggle with facial deformities but have no access to treatment. Six years ago, he traveled to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he performed surgeries and lectured to local professionals and students for 10 days.
