I have more than 20 years in the editorial/public relations field, with an emphasis in publications, press releases and media relations. I have been an editor or assistant editor for magazines for 20 years.

I'm currently working as a Marketing Specialist for Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. I am responsible for internal communications, including an e-newsletter to 200 licensees. I am also in charge of event and meeting planning. I coordinate set-up and teardown of the company's booth at four national tradeshows and plan and organize the organization's annual sales meeting.

I was Public Relations Manager at the American Dietetic Association, the world's largest organization of food industry professionals and I also worked in public relations and communications in the education field for 16 years.

In that time, I was Public Relations Director for Brother Rice High School, the largest private all-boys school in the State of Illinois and before that, Director of Public Relations and Publications at St. Ignatius College Prep, the oldest and most prestigious high school in the City of Chicago. I have cultivated media contacts and have placed stories in both city-wide and regional publications.

I am an experienced writer and have been a published professional for 21 years. I also have been responsible for budgets in advertising and publicity and have extensive background working with outside vendors in the printing profession.

I have experience with web design through web development software NetObjects, Front Page, DreamWeaver and Red Dot CMS.
