Phillip Ellington
Student in Athens
Phillip Ellington is a Sophomore at the University of Georgia majoring in Finance while pursuing a certificate in entrepreneurship. Phillip is fascinated with all things business, especially entrepreneurship, and is involved in multiple startup companies. Since his sophomore year of high school, Phillip has owned and operated five different companies. These companies range from a wide range of industries such as; real estate, e-commerce, clothing and apparel, and marketing. Like most entrepreneurs, Phillip started his companies with the intention to solve the problems of other people. One of his favorite problem-solving moments comes from client work he did through his marketing company, ON10 Digital Marketing. His first and favorite client was a restaurant five miles from his house called “Theze Bones”. The problem with this client was the fact that they were a great restaurant with good food and people, yet no one had ever heard of them. Through ON10 Digital Marketing, Phillip was able to compose a series of marketing campaigns that shot engagement and sales through the roof. The top-performing campaign had gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams hosting a rally in the restaurant parking lot, leading to a 13,500% increase in sales for the day. Currently, Phillip is focusing on preparing for his Investment Banking internship this summer in New York City.
