Philip is a management expert with a focus on strategic planning and execution, mutual funds management, acquisitions and divestitures, and sales management. He is also good at results-driven management, profit growth, and communication. Philip’s success in management is the result of hard work and a passion for finance, as is evident in his academic credentials. He graduated with high honors in his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the Indiana University, in Bloomington, IN. 6 years after completing his bachelor’s degree, he graduated with an MBA (Finance and Marketing) from the Northwestern University. In his professional life, Phil has excelled in all the organizations where he has applied his skills. He started his career as a staff auditor at Arthur Andersen where he worked for two years before joining Hewitt Associates in Lincolnshire, IL as a manager. Here he was tasked with consulting with clients on 401 (K) investment policies, and maintaining client relationships. By the time he left in 2001, his team client base had grown to 50 defined contribution plans, which represented $75 billion of the company’s assets under management. His success as a strategic manager was further validated in 2001, when he joined Russell Investments in Chicago. At this company, he started as a client executive, and was responsible for relationship management with the company’s institutional clients including a $3 billion defined contribution plan. He went to hold several positions at the company and rose to the position of head of the Chicago office in 2006. At this position, he was responsible for managing 14 associates handling institutional sales, consulting and prospects. He served more than 70 clients, or $15 billion of the company’s assets under management. He left in 2010 to join BMO Global Asset Management as the director for contribution services, a position he held for a year. He then quickly rose through the ranks to become the company’s President in charge of more than $50 billion in assets. He was successful in this position and grew assets under management from $15 billion to $150 billion. He also grew revenues from $40 billion to $650 million, and pushed the team from 100 to 1000 associates.
