Phillip Geurts

Phillip Geurts is an experienced California lawyer who guides a six-attorney, 18-member team at McFarlin & Geurts in Orange. Involved with the full range of practice activities, including the recruitment and training of staff members, he also handles corporate cases from beginning to end. Phillip Geurts participates in pre-litigation and settlement negotiations regarding insurance coverage and interpretation. Additionally, he prepares for litigation and manages all expert testimony aspects of cases. He has counseled a number of prominent companies over the years, including Dynaflex International and Robinson Pharma Nutriceuticals.

Mr. Geurts’ experience in law extends to an externship undertaken while pursuing studies at the Chapman University School of Law in Orange. Working within the Senate Judiciary Committee, he conducted legal research that focused on ESHB 1010, a 1995 regulatory reform measure. Next holding an administrative law judge position with the Salt Lake City’s Department of Workforce Services, Mr. Geurts effectively managed a caseload spanning labor and worker’s compensation matters. Maintaining a heavy caseload, he earned distinction for an extremely low number of appeals. Phillip Geurts gives back to his community by guiding the nonprofit International Student Volunteers as chairperson.
