Im April 2015 I Graduated Algonquin College with a Diploma in Business-Management & Entrepreneurship. I am currently working to complete my Diploma in the HVAC and Refrigeration trade also from Algonquin College.
I love good food, especially my Mother's homemade peanut butter pie! I was born and raised in Belleville Ontario.
In secondary school, I played soccer and swam for the school, and played hockey on the side. I competed at the OFSAA level for both school soccer and swimming, soccer once and swimming three times. I enjoy watching hockey, but do not follow any sports heavily. This is slightly ironic for me because I worked for a professional OHL hockey team, the Belleville Bulls, for 6 years as an Assistant Equipment Manager.
My first paid work experience was delivering papers for 4 years from the age of 9. I have also worked at RONA Belleville, for 3 years in the lumberyard as a shipper. For two summers in between post-secondary I worked for an industrial HVAC (Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning) small company, as well as for my own small company doing property maintenance.
I am extremely interested in entrepreneurship and see myself working in the HVAC field for a long time, and maybe owning one or more business' of my own.
My company I operated this past summer was initiated through a government program called Summer Company. This program provides monetary grants and mentorship to help students operate their own businesses for a summer. I learned a lot doing this and it emphasized my goal of owning my own business as a full-time career.
