I run PMB Translations, providing bespoke Portuguese and English language consultancy services from my base in Coimbra, Portugal. I hold a Masters in Portuguese and French from the University of Cambridge and a postgraduate Diploma in Translation.
Before moving to Portugal, I spent 5 years in Brazil as a translator and English teacher. Recent new avenues include interpreting in a clinical context and lecturing in specialised Portuguese-English translation on the Masters in Translation at the University of Coimbra. I am Chartered Linguist (Translator), a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists, Aptrad (Portuguese Association of Translators and Interpreters) and MET (Mediterranean Editors and Translators).
