Phil Mansell

I'm a writer, photographer, illustrator and film-maker with a Masters degree in Multimedia & Information Design from the University of Wales, Newport.

My play 'According to Claudia' launched the 92nd season of plays by Newport Playgoers at the Dolman Theatre in September 2014. It went on to win the Award for Theatre Show of the Year presented by lifestyle and entertainment magazine Voice and the Best Play Award presented by the Gwent Drama League.

'According to Claudia' has now been published by Silvermoon who have also publishing some my other plays, including 'Poor Yorick' and 'Bunkered' which both won play-writing competitions and were produced at the Dolman Theatre. My most recently published plays are 'Caddying for Godot', 'A Clandestine Operation', 'The Seventh Suitcase' and 'Wedded Blitz'.

I'm volunteer PR Officer with Newport Playgoers Society who own and run the city's 400-seater Dolman Theatre.
