Phil McTavish

You want to know about me? I'm a very private person. I don't use social media. Had to set up this page only to ask someone a question. It't not my real name either.

If I learned one thing on this planet in the time I've been here, it's that humans do not need to be "growing and cultivating" animals as a source of food. The human body derives proteins from plants far more efficiently than trying to break down animal parts. If it were "necessary" then all the vegans and even vegetarians on the planet would be dead by now but in fact they are not. Which leaves the question to an ethical one.

But it's not all about us and what "we like". Many people "like" many different things but when those likes, start to affect other people, or animals, then it becomes everyones problem.

When we eat animals we sign the death warrant for an animal somewhere. We support process of having male babies taken from their mothers for slaughter or if they are females sold into a life of cruel torture and slavery with the only way out being death.

We vote have crops fed to animals instead of starving people around the world.

We agree to use 2500 gallons of water for one LB of meat and 750 gallons of water for one quart of milk.

We agree to use more energy and to create more C02 emissions than any other industry on earth.

I learned that people will justify their ways by any means, using quotes from religious texts or justifying their actions because they went to a church a few sundays ago.

I learned this and I'm glad to say I'm no longer a part of it.
