A partner with the law firm of Boynton, Waldron, Doleac, Woodman, & Scott in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Phil Pettis performs a range of litigation and trial work in the fields of business and employment law. Since joining this firm 18 years ago, he has represented clients in many high-profile state and federal court trials. Phil Pettis is a current member of and a former Rockingham County representative to the New Hampshire Bar Association. The New Hampshire Supreme Court has appointed him to handle cases involving suspended lawyers.

Outside of the professional sphere, Phil Pettis chairs the finance committee of the North Congressional Church, co-chaired the capital campaign of the educational nonprofit Clipper Foundation and is now the Vice-President of that organization, and sat on the playground fundraising committee of the New Franklin School. Since 2005, Mr. Pettis has also lead the effort to repair and preserve downtown Portsmouth’s iconic steeple as President of the Market Square Steeple Fund.
