I teach on the MA Applied Linguistics programme at HKU and specialize in language assessment. My main areas of interest are the assessment of tertiary writing, portfolio assessment, and formative assessment. I believe the best assessments are local; developed, administered and validated by those with the most knowledge of the local context.
