Cherie Waggie

Pawhuska

I grew up on ranches in Oklahoma, on what is now called the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve. I and my sister had two loving parents and we never did without the essentials. My parents worked hard. They taught us about goodness, about loyalty, about family, about being thankful for the life we had and for the nation we live in. I served in the military after I graduated from high school, and I fulfilled my dream about going to college. I had wide open spaces and fresh air and a lot of time growing up. It was just natural that I turned to writing. I paint. I design. I love music as it has always been part of my life. I love animals. I love to read and have a private library of over 2000 books. For me, God, family, and country comes first, in that order.
