WHAT WE DO
We remodel the inside of owner-occupied homes: kitchens, primary and guest bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, entertainment walls and living rooms, and whole-home interiors. We do not build additions, patios, pools, or roofs, and we do not do exterior work.

HOW IT WORKS
Design-build means one company handles both design and construction. You do not hire a designer, hand the drawings to a contractor, and referee when the drawings and the budget disagree. We have our own designer, estimators, project managers, lead carpenters, and tile installation crew.

We sell planning first and construction second. Every client starts with a Feasibility, Planning and Design phase before any construction agreement exists. Feasibility confirms what is realistic for your layout, plumbing, electrical, and budget. Detailed planning defines the full scope in writing. Design and selections lock in every material and finish, and you see your remodel in 3D before demolition. Then you receive the final construction price. If you decide not to build, the completed design package is yours.

THE PRICE HOLDS
Our estimators price from a maintained cost catalog, not rough allowances. The price on the construction contract is a commitment, not an estimate. Our change order rate is 2.1%, against an industry range of 20 to 32%. We treat that number as a measure of our own planning quality.

DURING CONSTRUCTION
Materials are ordered and in hand before demolition starts. A dedicated project manager runs the schedule. We protect your home with zip walls, air scrubbers, drop cloths, and floor protection. Daily logs and progress photos post to a 24/7 client portal, so you never have to ask for status. Waterproofing, substrate preparation, and tile setting are done by our own in-house tile crew, because that is where most bathroom failures start. All work carries a 2-year workmanship guarantee.

THREE OWNERS, ONE STANDARD
Phoenix Home Remodeling is owned equally by three co-founders. Ben Chesley leads finance and people operations. Mark Chesley leads construction operations. Jeremy Maher is Co-Founder and COO, leads marketing, technology, and business operations, and wrote Remodel Without Regret, an Amazon bestselling homeowner guide to avoiding remodeling mistakes and contractor problems. Before any final proposal goes out, Ben or Mark walks your project at your home and reviews the scope with you. We started the company after living through contractor failures ourselves.

WHAT IT COSTS (construction ranges, 2026)
Guest bathroom: $20,000 to $25,000. Primary bathroom: $40,000 to $75,000. Kitchen: $40,000 to $100,000 and above, depending on size. Laundry room: $10,000 to $25,000. Entertainment wall or living room: $15,000 to $30,000. Whole-home interior: $200,000 to $500,000, depending on home size and rooms in scope. Our project minimum is $20,000. The Feasibility, Planning and Design fee is separate and is removed from the total price if you build with us.

WHO WE FIT
Homeowners who plan to stay in their home, value price certainty over the lowest first bid, and want the planning finished before construction starts. We are not the right fit for lowest-bid shopping, immediate-start projects, owner-managed or labor-only work, or architect-led custom projects above roughly $500,000. We say so on the first call.
