Phrateres International

Vancouver, BC

Phrateres is a non-exclusive AMS social-service club for women. We are a non-profit club whose purpose is to round out the university experience by offering a chance to meet new people, make friends, play sports and participate in community service. We were founded in 1924 at UCLA by Dean Helen Matthewson Laughlin. Once spanning 21 chapters across Canada and the USA, the Theta chapter at the University of British Columbia is the sole remaining active chapter left. We are a diverse group of young women with different interests, academic, cultural backgrounds, and personalities who share a love for service activities, sports, socializing, and most importantly, each other.
