Phumudzo Makhado

Phumudzo was born and raised in the mountains and rivers of Gogogo, in rural Venda in 1977. He is the third born child and first son of Samson and Mavis Makhado. Has 2 older sisters, one younger brother and 2 other younger sisters. Phumudzo attended his first grade at Gogogo Primary School before being promoted to the 2nd grade within the first two weeks. He then moved on to Tshikevha Christian School where he completed his matric, and spending one year (Std. 9) at Chicago Christian High School, as an exchange student.

After graduating high school Phumudzo was enrolled at Wits University where he pursued his studies in Law.

He is the founder and CEO of Ikoni Capital, and investment Holdings Company. Former MD of The Lab and former CEO of Future Media, MD of Vuwa Communications and Director of various companies.

However, life has not been smooth sailing for the entrepreneur, with the media awash with untested allegations brought about by different business colleagues and acquaintances. The stories were never proven in any court of law.

Phumudzo is a father to Motheo and Khuthadzo.
