As a visual artist, I seek detail, texture, and poetic elements. I use the photographic process as an investigative tool to record what eludes the eye. My current work is a series of Lumen Prints made from organic materials gathered from west coast forests. Lumen prints are unique photograms made without a camera or darkroom enlarger. These prints are made by a contact printing process that leaves traces and shadows on photosensitive surfaces. I also work with other photographic processes that include analogue and digital, and hybrid. Mentoring and teaching come easy, and I am energized by problem-solving.
