Much of my life's work has involved the formal or informal invocation of Alternative Dispute Resolution - whether to help build consensus in a meeting among stakeholders; to listen for principles to negotiate a business project; weighing whether a claim should be adjudicated, or whether justice could be done in mediation; or conducting workshops with village women in Africa or sheriffs in Oklahoma.
