I'm an editor, writer and wannabe photographer. I'm trying to learn the guitar but keep breaking strings. I intend to learn the drums, because I'm tired of tapping on tables.

Before becoming the editorial director at TechCrunch, I had a hand in a number of online and print publications, including InternetNews.com as chief copy editor and Government Technology magazine as managing editor. I also did a stint in Sydney as group editor of RBI Australia’s (now Cirrus Media) manufacturing group, which is when I also developed an affinity (a love, really) for cricket.

I have a bachelor’s in English from California State University, Chico, and a master’s in Liberal Studies from the New School for Social Research in New York. And the student loans to prove it.
