Piddle Valley Benefice

The Benefice of the Piddle Valley, Hilton, Cheselbourne and Melcombe Horsey is a benefice of six parishes set in the heart of the beautiful rolling Dorset downland between Dorchester, Sherborne and Blandford Forum.

It comprises the villages and hamlets of Alton Pancras, Ansty, Cheselbourne, Higher Ansty, Higher Melcombe, Hilton, Melcombe Bingham, Melcombe Horsey, Muston, Piddlehinton, Piddletrenthide, Plush and White Lackington.

The benefice is in the Dorchester Deanery, the Archdeaconry of Sherborne and the Diocese of Salisbury in the Church of England which is part of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
